Does advancing the timing on the 660 produce any gains? I saw a Degree key for it and I was wanderin if it was worth gettin.

Unless you are into straight line all out dragging, I would'nt look at it unless that's what your into. There are better ways to get more gains then advancing timing.

Even then it hasnt proven beneficial. The only person I've seen say good things about a degree key on a raptor is warwagn and he's at a decent elevation so that may be a factor. I'm pretty sure that's the guy who has one, do a search and you'll find info on this.

Yeah I havent heard anything on it that's why im asking. But yeah im probably gonna get a cam, when I hog out the motor a little bit. Hey stallion? I know your pretty deep into these machines, so I was wanderin if you could point me in the right direction on if I need to replace my rod, valves, valve springs, when I decide to do like a 686, or 690 kit? Also would I be better off with a stage 2 cam, if I do that, also what would you recomend for the carbs? Thanks for your time...
