YAMAHA STANDS BEHIND RAPTOR
#1
Just got my Raptor back from the dealer last night. They replaced the dented right side lower a-arm under warranty. And, since the carbs blew off from a back fire they richened the fuel and raised the idle to spec. About 1460 rpm. It was only idling at around 850 rpm when I dropped it off. Now its fine and they also put better clamps on the carb boots too.

Yes, yamaha and my dealer are both GREAT! When I had the A-arm problem, they replaced it within days and even gave me a handle grip since mine got a cut in it do to the spill resulting from the A-arm mishap.
My carbs blew off, so they raised the needle, richened the mixture, realigned the airbox so that the boots would fit farther forward on the intake and even replaced the rubber intake boots since they might have been loosened up by the backfire.
They've always been great and no hassle what so ever!

Yamaha is great like that when I bought my 95 Warrior I took a monster table top and bent my frame and it was 6 months old. Yamaha gave me a new frame plus paid my dealership to do the work. That's why I'm glad to be back on a Yamaha again. And the Raptor blows my old Warrior and 99' 400ex away. I liked my 400 but it doesn't pull and fly like the Raptor plus it feels and rides better too. Not to mention I got reverse back. Believe the hype the Raptor is all that and some. But understand that nothing is perfect. But it's sure damn close.

Thats great that they stand behind the Raptor, but they don't stand behind the Banshee. The dealer is great, but Yamaha Canada is one of the most devious, ingnorant, procrastinating companies that I have ever dealt with. Because of their offensive and dis-respectful attitude towards myself, I will never again buy another Yamaha product. By voicing my opinion and experience with Yamaha Canada, they have directly lost 2 more purchases (1-quad, 1-YZ250) within my family, a contract with my fathers company (4-8 quads/year) including this October's cancellation of 4 quads, 1 friends purchase of a Star Venture and another friends WR426F, and possibly 2 co-workers purchases of a YFZ600R and a YZ250 directly related to their treatment towards myself. Yamaha's ignorance, stubbornness and reluctance to listen fully to myself and to my dealer has cost them more than just a single customer. They say the best advertising is word of mouth. I have and will continue to advertised for Yamaha.
