Thinking about some new wheels as I have some (abused in the desert) Douglas 1.90 already and they have been taco'd a few times. Good wheels neverless. I know for the MX course Hipers are nice, but has anyone had any experience with them for recreational and desert trails? Not sure if they would crack easily in the rocks as they are composite wheels.
Almost 100% of my riding is desert riding/racing.

I probably would not recommend them for desert because of the material, and the price, and they have been known to crack or snap in half after a couple years of riding. I would say the best wheels for desert are the itp t9 baja's 190. aluminum with a reanforcing ring on the inside and outside of the wheel

Thanks for your comments as I will most likely go that route with some Baja's with the beadlock. I was curious if anyone had any success with them long term in the desert. I figured they would probably split in two if hit hard enough.
