700R Rear Brake Pads stuffed after 50 hours
Well Im down to the metal after only 50 hours of riding. How have you guys gone? I have checked all the usual things, I never ride with my foot on the pedal and the 700 free wheels with no friction...
Have a look at yours and let me know your hours and condition. They are either really soft or maybe some fault issue from the factory?

I oil my chain after every ride and have no issues turning the back wheels, with a block under the swingarm.

Yeah one of the first things I checked. Yamaha have redesigned the parkbrake on the 700 so that it is fool proof. You cannot pull the clutch in as the park brake handle physicaly obstructs your fingers. No electronics or anything, quite a good design.

I use the back break to flick into corners much more than I did on the old 660. The 700 feels as tho you can throw it around without the tippyness of the old Raptor. We are just coming out of winter down here in Australia and I ride in VERY muddy conditions this time of the year. Maybe a combination of those things has caused them to wear faster than I am used to.
Has anyone seen aftermarket pads for the 700 yet?
