BLASTER wiring questions/help!!!!
#1
Hello all!! I’m in the need of some help!
I recently picked up a dirt cheap BLASTER. It runs great! Starts on the first or second kick, plenty of power, shifts like a dream!
Now for the fun part!
When I received this quad, all lighting was removed. Well, I’m wanting lights!
I ordered an “EBAY” front headlight assembly off of a B laster and still waiting on its arrival. I decided to take a look at the wiring under the front cover and see what she looks like. Everything looks intact, no cut wires, just a bunch of wires that are not connected!
The first thing I noticed that was not plugged into the main harness was the control unit (the little box with the roundish 3 pin connector). So with the quad running, plug the connector together…engine dies. Wont start with connector plugged in. unplug this control unit….engine fires right up! What does this control unit do? I probed around the other misc. wires that were unconnected and could not find a 12 volt source w/engine running? Any input? Thanks!
