Generally, you would put the choke on when the engine is cold. It creates a rich condition which makes it easier to start the motor. As the quad runs and warms up, it won't idle well and that will be your cue to put the choke to half or even turn it off.

One possibl scenario is that you are leaving the choke on to long. By doing this tou are flooding the engine with fuel. What you need to do is turn on the choke, kick it a couple times. Turn off the choke press the throttle and the kick it like hell

It still wouldn't hurt to put a new plug in, you could have just gotten a bad plug, or could have fouled it if you rode with the choke on to long(although the quad would have been running pretty poorly I would think.) Not sure of the Blaster, but I have ridden a few 2-strokes that like to have the throttle opened just ever so slightly when starting. If it has always taken a bunch of kicks for you to start it, you just may need to get "in touch" with the quad and learn what it likes to start.

be sure you change your plug! that is pretty much the center of your engine. cleaning a plug is a good quick fix on the side of the trail, or if u have no other choice right befiore your heat. a plug can only be cleaned a couple times. also be sure your gas isnt mixed to rich. when starting with choke kick it a cpl times. turn the the choke a a lil, tap the gas. it should start.
also two strokes are made to be riddin hard and keep them on the pipe the whole time. so ride the hell out of it!

My blaster
it could be a lot of things on a blaster. getting spark? getting fuel? choke it and kick it a few times, then pull the plug and tell us what you find. wet or dry? what color? do you have spark with the plug laying against the head? We can diagnose it, but you need to do a few things too since we cant see the quad.
Give us more info and we'll help you out, no problem.
