which atv to buy for hunting
im going to purchase another atv in the near future this bike will be used for hunting and once in a great while the wife may use it on a trail. i need one that you can take off the trail and make your own path through the woods for hunting. it needs to have ground clearance for small rocks and be able to get through tight spots in the woods. it needs to be able to climb small hills in the woods the bike needs to have rack space for my bow/ gun/ portable deer blind, back pack and chair/
i used to own a bear tracker and sold it for a sport bike. i wish i never sold it because it worked perfectly other than the cheap tires that came with it. the bear tracker was able to get through tight spots in the woods
is 4x4 all that great for a hunting bike how often do you use it, you think i would be happy with a 250 bruin
6'1 250lbs the bike won't be used for mudding just hunting/ i need somthing thats not that expensive either/ what are the greatest advantages of 4x4 vs 2x4
04 raptor 660 few mods

sounds to me like a 2x4 would be just fine for you- i would look into the 250 bruin, kawi 360 2x4, honda rancher 2x4
2x4 quads arent bad, you just need 4x4 where the mud is bad, otherwise you can go just about anywhere with a 2wd quad as long as you have enough momentum

Speaking from a mechanics stand point, BUY THE YAMAHA!!! I'm not into the whole hunting and utility ATV thing but that's pretty much all we work on at the shop. I live in AR, farm country and in my experience the Yamaha's hold up ALOT better than Suzuki and Kawasaki.
