Honda's service record is a lot better than Yammis, and most likely everyone else's. As for me it's kawasaki, those worthless bastards wont get another dime from me or my family.

I have 5,000 miles on my 03 Grizz....had some CV joint issues with it but Yamaha stood behind them even after my warranty was up.
Other then that I had to replace a $9 seal.
My 2000 Kodiak had $7,500 trouble free miles on it when I traded it in on my Grizz.
I understand your mad.....but like others said....give it a chance. It could have been alot worse....it could have broke after your warranty was up.
I ride both a Honda and a Yamaha....for me both brands are awsome.
I have 3,500 trouble free miles on my 01 Rancher.

I would definetely be pretty angry after only owning it for 2 weeks, but you should be very lucky that the warranty is covering it, and dont give up on yamaha, i had a yamaha timberwolf 250 and i used to be the living .... out of it and it still ran like a champ up until the day i sold it. both Honda and Yamaha are good, i prefer yamaha, but that just me. dont give up on the yamahas.

If you bought it new, and it had no miles or use before you...you got a right to be pissd . You could have been really pounding on it, and it still should have held together. I know many people with grizzlys, and they can really punish them, and it handles it with out complaint.
Things happen, and sometimes, bad parts make it thru the inspection area, and make it into a motor. I wouldnt let a freak occurance like this stop me from buying another yami.
At least the dealership and yamaha are standing behind their sale, and fixing it, ,with out claiming abuse, and turning down the warentee request. This is why they have warentees, to protect the buyer from freak happenings like this.
If you swear off yami, and buy something else...be aware, there are worse brands out there.
