Lester, I'm not sure I exactly understand your question but I'll try to answer it.

In my situation, I'm turning over size tires and riding aggressive terrain with altitudes ranging from 800' to 3800' above sea level. I'm not a small guy either. My main need is torque. With my current configuration I am able to obtain considerable top end, but have even better low end. The FMF pipe comes with 11 discs and a silencer core. I run the core and found that six discs is a happy medium of back pressure (creating torque), and freeflow exhaust (creating speed). The Wolverine stock is set up running rich. The OEM air filter set up is unbelievably restrictive and sloppy. A K&N or Pro-flow kit in itself is a great addition. By allowing more air over the stock Main Jet you are effectively leaning your air/fuel ratio. This alone adds performance. Now that it's running leaner and better, it's not benificial to jump all the way up to a 155 main jet. This puts you back where you were (too rich). The exception to this is like in Harold's case. He found a 155 main to work best partially due to modifying his air box by adding a snorkel and allowing more air in. I've found that with a 137.5 main, pro-flow intake, and less restictive exhaust I'm getting exactly what I wanted. If the carb is set up too lean and run real hard, over time you can actually do damage to the engine. One way to tell is to see if it lean misfires while running at high speeds. If it does, go with a larger main. If not, and it's burning clean, you're probably really close to optimum. Check your plug after a hard run and see what color it's burning. It should be light tan. Other guys like Thumper4x4 and Boomer have posted tips on setting up the Wolverine. They are very helpful. Good Luck. I hope this Helps! MUD

Sorry, I don't have pics. What I did was, I came off the right side of the air box with a raditor hose that had wire in it so it wouldn't suck in when under power. I drilled the hole smaller than the hose to ensure a tight fit and sealed it with atv inside and out. The new air intake terminates beside the stock one, I didn't want to cut up the top of my air box because I ride in alot of mud etc. you could install an extended snorkel with abs pipe without much trouble.

Thanks for the info mud_runner.I checked my plug today and the tip was light tan and the missing seems to have stopped. It runs good now, maybe there was a bit of residue in the carb,I hope thats it.
P.S. I also run 25" bearclaws and the kit has helped my quad spin them.
