as an electrican I can tell you heat shrink and solder is the only way to do any DC connections where water has any chance of getting.
The pinch splice is worthless for any permanant wiring.
If you read thru most grip heater install instructions you will see they ask you to solder and heat shrink everything.
The ones that dont and include butt connectors just want your money and dont care if you have troubles with their product later or not.

does anyone have a wire schematic of 2004 grizzly for why i think i fried something in the speedometer cause the blue/white wire coming out of it only has 4 volts unless the netural switch is bad but i dont think so cause all the lights work when you shift into differant gears
