All I know is that that powerbomb header is supposed to be pretty good .
And one person on the forum said that it would be 42 horespower and that a pred does 82 miles per hour . Thats is stupid because is dirtwheels the pred clocked in at 75 miles per hour and a slip on is not going to increse it's power that much not to no 82 miles per hour. And the pipe shootout for 2003 said that the fmf factory 4 pipe pushes like 44 horses and plus the guy has a jet kit and he is geting that header and plus the intake the sould put it in the late fouty's or the high fiddy's.

As far as more power goes via an exhaust system, if you want to spend the money the LRD and CT Racing systems are more bang for the buck. Powerwise, you've done all you can before you get into engine modifications.

fasterthanyou222:84 mph near a crotch rocket...me it was with a gps. And i cant believe u with no sprocket because with the stock sprokets, i was only doing 75mph...

weatherspoon: i said the predator have a bigger front sprocket, no suspension(lower center of gravity)

what would be a good motor mod?

wow this amazes me, who thinks their fmf raptor is going to produce over 50hp is nutts, you might get 53hp on a built 686 with that crappy exhaust. you will be in the 44hp range and thats generous, even with the header, K&N, pro-flow, jet-kit, and open airbox, ha..that makes me laugh...53hp

i make 53hp. you might be the preddy, cuz the white bros isnt the best pipe for that bike either.

We've been though this in many threads now, the fmf is a great trail pipe but not anywhere near the best for hp output.

And weatherspoon claimed "at least 53hp" in his first reply to this thread so that's where CT got that info.
