Default raptor 660 advice

I already got a fmf powercore 4 and now I just order a fmf powerbomb header, k&n filter.jet kit and ill put the lid off while rejetting.. I have 4 questions

1-what jet size should I put in the carbs?

2-how much horsepower should I have(around)?

3-would I be able to beat a predator with a whitebrother exhaust,rejetted and a k&n filter?

4-Is the hotcam stage 1 worth it?

Ill be glad if someone can help me

I know you would be pushing at least 53 horsepower and don't worry about that pred bacause you should be able to beat that especally with the sick setup you've got. They are not all what people say they are not that fast it probably a preditor le if so I have got the same problem you've got so don't worry .

I would say congratulations on the purchase, but you bought FMF. While the flying machine factory was known for making respectable two-stroke pipes, they haven't quite figured out the four strokes yet. According to the Dyno numbers for the 660, FMF pipes produced the least additional horsepower. As far as jets go, FMF should be able to recommend to you what jet sizes to go with. Because you live on Ontario and I have no idea where you're at above sea level, I'm not going to tell you what jets to use.

Horsepower wise, you'll probably get another 5 to 7 horses, which would put you around 45 hp.

Your machine should be able to beat the aforementioned predator, but that depends upon the riders.

Stage 1 hot cams are good for some extra low-end grunt, and can be used without engine mods. You can also get away without pricy titanium valve springs.

And do you think i would have a chance vs a ds 650?

82 mph! that's an impressive feat for a 500cc machine. Did they clock it on a drag strip?

I can understand the free exhaust. That's the only reason I have a big gun system, the slip-on was free. As for the jets at sea level, you should be able to go up considerably because your motor will get plenty of air. I would try a 170 left main and 165 right main, with the needle clip position on the third slot from the top. Fuel screws at 2 1/2 to 3 turns out, with stock needles. Try that. As for versus a DS, again depends upon the riders and the mods. Stock for stock, you'll get it out of the hole, but they will get you in the long run because their gearing is incredibly high stock.

raptor149: yes they clock that at the drag strip. The predator as a 15 tooth front sprocket, exhaust, jetted no suspension and a wheelie bar. He won first place in the 1/8 mile. He beat banshees, ds 650, etc...It was really impressive.
hey, and I did 128 km/h(79 miles per hour) with only my fmf and a 14 tooth front sprocket, its pretty good.
Now do you recommend sumthing else in particular to have more power?
HEy weatherspoon, welcome to the forum and thanx for the help!

Hey man...82 mph...Ive hit 84 mph on my bike in 9 or 10 seconds....Now, it doesnt matter how fast it tops out at, it matters who gets there quicker.
