Default Building a banshee?

I am planning on building a banshee, or 250r from the frame up. I would like to know if anyone has done this if so how long did it take and how much money didi ti cost? thanks a lot and i probably am moving to Reno or fallon, because I want to ride the dunes. Which do youi think i should build a banshee or 250r, thanks again. p.s. if I can find a cheap frame or messed up z400 i am looking at that also.

It's as expensive as you make it. You can spend more on a ground up atv than a new pickup, or spend about as little as a new blaster. I'm going to go out on a limb here and say you're looking to do it cheaply, my suggestion is to buy a used banshee or R and fix it up, not build one from the ground up.

I've built 3 banshees from the ground up......trust me its not worth it....especially if you are building a drag bike.....

it gets expensive quickly....

if you just want a duner buy one already together....

If you can find a basket case with a strait frame for a $1000 or so, it can be very cost effective to strip it down and build it up. Pc the frame, pipes, port, stroker crank, clutch, shocks, a-arms, axel, sprockets+chain, tires+wheels, and new plastic. All that can be done for less than a new 06 banshee. Just keep the bling bling to a minimum, and spend the cash on parts that make a difference.

Well i think i am going to get a wrecked banshee, or 250r, or one that does not run, and fix it. Dan a friend of my dad's, went to nome and the first night he was there, had a bottle of wiskey and a drunk eskimoe, said his quad was broken and he would trade it for the wiskey. well he did, and know he has a '04 z-400 for a $15 of wiskey, and the only problem was that the eskimoe was so drunk he did not check his empty tank, and he needed a new spark plug. I wish I was Dan.
