My TT600 will put about 18 bike lengths on my 686 raptor and once the rappy is toped out the TT continues to widen that gap alot, and my bike weighs 295 LBS.
It depends on the environment, TT bikes are only good for what they were made for.Find me in the dunes of a set of paddles and you will find your TT 18 bike lengths behind me...
Every argument comes back to the dunes. Weren't you the one earlier saying something about racing a sand rail?

My bad, I need to back and cut and paste it so you can deny you said it then too.
Nope since I mentioned the sand rail a couple times there is no need to go back and quote me since obviously I won't deny that...

And I told you where you can try and hang with me. Heck, I'll meet you somewhere else to, I just figured Haspin was the easiest for ya and me both.

There you go with the drag Banshee's again.

not every time, but it will kill your piped raptor. And I really dont drag race anymore it's not that fun, but I am sure I would take you to school in the desert and the cheeta banshees if they or you think you can handle 100 miles at a time, well hell we could only do 50 so you dont have to refuel. I will evan use the sorry old 1984 Yamaha TT600 with the crappy suspension so I wont have to sit and wait at the finish all day for you to finish.

Just go to google and type in ATV deaths, or ATV injuries and do the same for dirtbike or motorcycle, I believe the ATV deaths and injuries tally up higher than the dirtbike and motorcycle injury list combined. You might want to add the word "statistics" in your search.

And the only reason I know this is because my best friend just got killed on a ATV last August, that is why I have done research on it.

I still don't understand why you insist on calling dirtbike riders sissies? If it has a motor it is fun to me, whether it is a moped or a go-kart, I will have fun on it out at the farm or something. Besides, you can't sit and tell me that there isn't people who is afraid to jump on a CR250 for example, but they will jump on a Raptor.
The reason you can't understand is because you ride both. The bikers I ride with only ride bikes. They say that the quad beats them too hard. They complain unless the trail is ideal for bikes. They get in a big hurry to get home when it gets late. They start to cry when we hit snow or the trail gets slippery. I hear less complaining from my 5 year old daughter. That is why I call them sissies, sissy.

Well Im a sissy cuz i dont ride my sport quads in the mud no more.. I get sick of cleaning them and myself off. Tis why i need to get a ute. Ride the sporty on the track. the ute on the muddy trails and the mocycle on the dry trails and take all 3 to the dunes

Technology though. I dunno whats so fancy about any atv technology from the factorys right now. Prolly the fanciest chit in ATVs wich is industry changing possibly is the Outlaws IRS for a sporty and the Bombs trailing arm IRS for utes. thats the fanciest chit there is right now. Fuel injection is kewl but that aint that fancy its been around for a long time.

It's a two way street man. I know plenty of dirtbike riders that are like you describe, but I know quad riders that are just the same. Non motocross riders love the nasty terrain for dirtbikes, so I think you have only been around MX junkies.

Sense I ride MX and trails on bikes and quads, I have to defend the MX junkies to a degree. Even tho they may act like sissies about trails, lets see you go out and clear 80ft tripples while side by side. Hell lets see you corner like they can. That takes some gahoona's my friend.

Besides, the only sissies are the ones who complain about riders like the tree huggers. And real riders will ride them all.

well I call them sissies (by the way in fun not serious moto) because of several reasons

A. They complain that ATV's are to hard on them, they prefer the full travel suspension. I guess it hurts there poor tushies
B. They complain about quads not going fast enough when they are really just scared to push the bikes since they both have realtively the same top speed.
C. They complain that there to hard to jump in the air because its to easy to get off cambered when all they have to do is go to the gym and lift a little more to pull the quad level while in the air.
D. They're afraid the quad will crush them and chaise them down the hill, which is probably true if the quad knew they prefered dirt bikes.
E. They're afraid that they must have their own 2 feet on the ground everytime they stop because their scared the ground might not still be there.
F. They're afraid of the ATV guys because they have been in the gym lifting weights to handle the quads.
G. They're afraid of moving to real two wheeled bikes called superbikes on the street.
H. When you ask them to ride in sand at the dunes they look at you with a blank stear cause they haven't a clue what that is.
....
..
.
Z. Well just look at em they are just sissies!

See moto but thats part of the problem, 90% of the dirt bikers out there buy them because they think they can be Magrath and can clear tripples or because it looks cool to do back flips, and what happens? they go out there, ride for 5 minutes and park on the top of a hill watching everyone else go by. How many dirt bikers do you see that go out and come back just as clean as they went out because they didn't even really ride. I would say the majority of them.

You don't see as many quad guys acting like this because why? because ATV's are very practical and at the same time if you push them they can be a lot more challenging then any dirt bike.

Man i dunno.. For me i find ATVs really easy. and i can do whatever on them. Mocycles take allot more. especially in the slick chit. I dont like to get dirty either. so if its nasty out.. im gonna ride my horse

In all honosty I see the exact opposite. And we are from the same area. I really got into MX in the last few years and I have been shocked at how many good dirtbike riders there are around here. It was actually intimidating, because on quads, I feel I can smoke about anyone on the trail and have done it on the track. Because they are usually the ones who think they are hot stuff on there "latest and greatest" machine, even tho they should be on a 300ex or something with there skills. That is why so many ATVers get killed. They are not afraid on the ATV's because they "appear" to be safer and ATV's are tamer than a MX bike.

I would really like to know why you think what you do, honostly. Do you just go to the dunes? That is the only explaination I can think of.
