I cant imagine trying to take a quad on the trails that I like. And personally I think quads are much more dangerous than dirt bikes are. The main thing is the perception of safety you get with a quad. The dirt bike looks dangerous and is. The quad looks safe and really isnt as safe at higher speeds IMO. I

And since I love riding dunes primarily or any soft sand, dirtbikes have a real hard time staying upright in that stuff. I also grew up in Florida beach sand which is primarily another reason why I dont' care to much about riding dirt bikes these days.
I can't count how many times I have seen dirt bike riders wash out in corners trying to ride through orange groves in central Fl.

I will admit that sand is probubly the toughest thing to ride a dirt bike on. It can be done by good riders though. It definitely takes more energy to ride a dirt bike in sand and talent is sort of necessary too. Not to tough to ride a quad in sand, even if it doesnt have paddles. Dirt bikes are much more fun with paddles.
Obviouslly these riders were of a inferior riding skill level.

I had a KDX220R, and it was the same thing as my friends KDX200 that was a hundred dollars less. Anyways, I always enjoyed those bikes, they weren't powerhouses or anything, but they sure was fun on the trails.
The only type of sand I have ridden dirtbikes in, is at a few MX tracks where sections were sand. And it was easy to wash the front end out, not to mention the sand seemed power robbing.
And I don't mind the sissy thing, call me what you want, I ride a moped, lawn mower, and go-kart thru the woods sometimes! If it has a motor, I'll ride it! I enjoy them both and like both for different reasons other then the fact I love to ride. Track riding obviously I just like to better myself at going fast and flying, and trail riding I like to find challenges or get in sticky situations that are hard to get out of.

Hey moto you ought to meet us out in Attica sometime. All kidding aside I think most of the group that I ride with tends to like Attica over Haspin Acres. There is alot less mud this time of year in Attica. It is a little more sandy terrain, but it also has a lot more hills too. I don't think they have a track though. I think they were going to put one in at one time... who knows!
