Default warrior clutch

Hello,
I was wandering if anything could be done about the stiffness in the clutch on my wifes warrior? Could the springs be changed to a spring with less tension? The current springs have a yellow paint on them. I have already replaced the cable and this morning started working on the clutch. Any help or comments would be appreciated.

The cable and clutch perch are the biggest factors in the pull. I have a Motion Pro lever and perch with bearings at the pivot point, and a Motion Pro Terminator cable, and the clutch pull is easy and smooth as silk, even with the stiffer springs from my EBC clutch kit. If you made the clutch springs any softer than the factory ones you would have problems with excessive slipping and accelerated clutch wear. My clutch pull was extremely stiff with the stock cable and perch, but you remove a lot of friction from the mix with a high quality perch, lever, and cable. I spent about $50 on all 3 parts.

Did you try using an impact wrench to get the clutch boss nut off? That works much better than the clutch holding tool and a ratchet.

I bought my parts from the local powersports shop. The Motion Pro Terminator cable is about $17 most places, which is pretty good for the best cable on the market right now. You can get an ez-pull clutch lever and perch on ebay for around $30 right now. The only complication with the clutch perch is that you will lose the operation of the parking brake(most of the time they don't work anyways though, and cause more trouble than it's worth)
