It can't be a bent valve if you have compression. Or if you want to look at it another way, it can't have compression with a bent valve.
My question is, how much compression did it have when you checked it?

 

who knows, what compression i had, i was in the middle of the dunes, its not like i carry it with me. and if i lost the rings it wouldnt just die like it did, it would just loose power

 

So your not sure if you have compression? I would check that first. Do you have a JE piston? It could have cracked along the valve reliefs if you do. The flywheel key would be my next guess.

 

i have the wiseco 11:1, and been running it for about a year and a half.

 

I dont think i would be in the compression....Like he said...If it was compression it would not die all at once....And if the pistion did crack or brake..Last time i had one give even trying to start the quad it had a hole diffent sound...you could even here something knocking when you were turning it over....I really sound like to me it skip time...Like with the flywheel key...He even said he has had the flywheel off in the last few months...

 

the flywheel was installed by a reputable atv shop.

It would not be hard to check and see...If you have a 8mm...Just pull your side cover off..and twist your flywheel with your hand..and if you want take your flywheel off and look around...and just see if anything does not look right.....If you got your rappy book it shows you how to do it all in there...Its just kinda hard for me to put in words how to check it....

 

no worries ive had my cases off dozens of times. it wont be a problem, im just waiting till i have a day off.

 

pulled the case, off and the flywheel, woodruf key is intaced and looking good,

 

I had the same problem on mine and i checked the spark plug and it had spark but when i replaced the spark plug it worked perfect......maybe a little cheaper and easier way to experiment
