700R rolls forward when starting in gear with clutch depressed
This is my first sport quad so bare with me if this is a stupid question. When my 2006 700R is cold and I start it in gear with clutch depressed it will roll forward for a second before it starts (even though clutch lever is pulled). When the quad has been ridden and is warm that doesn't happen. Is this normal?

Completely normal. The oil has not made it way through the clutch component and needs to be warmed up before the clutch lever will completely do the deed. Start the bike in neutral always if it has been sitting a while and allow to warm up before putting in gear. In the future, if it does this after it has been warmed up, a slight adjustment at the lever may be required. Good luck with the new ride!!!

Congrats on the new ride, like jarhead said, quite normal for this to happen, also a lot less load on your oneway when it is in nuetral for starting, even if you stall the bike it is best to select nuetral before you hit the starter.

Incorrect. When the quad is cold and the oil has not been flowing through the clutch components, its will fail to easily roll forward with the clutch pulled. It will obviously roll forward easier than if it were in gear, but there will still be resistance to some degree. I am also really only familiar with the Drag bikes with additional clutch components etc. There may be bikes out there more forgiving than the Raptors. I havent been so fortunate

My bike does it in gear so i only start it in neutral now. even when im riding for hours then stop the bike for 20 min and try to start in first it will roll forward.
My bike is also hard to roll while in gear with the clutch depressed.
