Default freezing wheel bearings

The front hubs won't spin because the brake pads drag on the rotors, it's normal.

To test the rear bearings, basically the same as the front. Just jack up the back end on the skid plate, and shake the wheel to check for free play.

There is a little trick you can do to get your axel bearings out..If you cant drive them out with a hammer and chissle..Like if the chissle keeps sliping and you can get on it good...If your good with a welder..and you have to be carefull you can just put a tack weld on the bearing and let it cool. then it will give you something to get ahold off...Iv done this a few times and it works really good...Just be carefull dont weld on anything but the bearing.

I spread the pads so that there would be no drag, then turned the hub by hand. It is smooth and no play but like I said, it feels like heavy grease drag like a car hub. Not sure how free they should spin.

If there's no free play you don't have anything to worry about. The drag you're worried about is probably just from the seals in the bearings that keep all the crud out. It's probably a good sign if you're getting some drag from them, because that means they're still holding a seal..
