Default Warrior Jetting...

I just put a Supertrapp IDSII exhaust(using all 12 discs, quiet core) on my 2000 Warrior...
Do you have to rejet carb when you install a "non-stock" exhaust?
I have always heard you do, but the bike seems to run great with stock jets, so is it
neccessary for some unknown reason to me?
1st non-stock exhaust I've ever had so I am just curious...any help would
be greatly appreciated....

I had 2000 Warrior with same exact silencer (SuperTrapp ISD2) on it and I had to go up one jet size from stock. But mine had the racing core in it, so staying with the stock jets will probably be fine since your quiet core doesnt have as much flow. You also fine tune with the discs.
Before that pipe, had a cheaper DG on it, and the SuperTrapp made a big difference on the way it ran.

So is there any risk that I burn up the motor or any of the other "warnings" that
Supertrapp puts in their installation instructions...It seems to me like it runs fine,
although the head pipe does seem a little warmer...Like I said, I am a rookie at
this...This is the first aftermarket I have put on....Thanks

If it's running too lean you can run the risk of damaging the engine. Start by putting a new plug in, riding for a little while, and then checking the color of the ceramic part on the business end.

Its not going to burn up like a two stroke if its too lean, but you could overheat the exhaust. Get the plug burning a nice tan color.

Ran the bike really hard for two days in the mountains and woods with no problems...The plug(ceramic) is still
fairly white....I guess I will just take a wait and see attitude but the bike is running really well....Thanks for
all the posts...

Well...It's been about a month now, so I will give the latest update...
Due to a little 1st gear hesitation and the fact my other Warrior(2000 all stock)
outruns this Warrior ('03) with Supertrapp IDS II, I decided to have carb jetted...
Took it to "my guy"(worked on my bikes for years) and he moved the needle up one
notch and changed the main to a 152....WOW...It's definitely "perkier" in low gears and
top end is just as fast(if not faster) than my stock...Sounds pretty cool too(even with Quiet Core)...
Plug is still fine....Thanks for all the help...I am looking forward to many years of enjoyment with this
new setup.....

if that quad is STOCK a 152.5 is pretty rich... the white is prolly from it running HOT... try a 150 or even a 147.5
