Default griz smoking

I think I might need rings in my 04 Griz, does anyone know if the rings can be replaced without removing the motor? How bout the average cost for the Yamaha shop to do it? Going to get something to test compression and leak down tomorrow. Lots of blue smoke when I rev it up. Any help or advice would be appriciated.

Might just be your valves out of adjustment. A friend of mine had the same prob with his .. 02/03?? they adjusted the valves and the problem was fixed .. they said one of the valves was sticking.
