I was wondering if a earlier model kodiak 400 cylinder will bolt up on a wolverine? The cylinder looks the same. What displacement would it be then? Are the rods the same lenth on the two? What about the head? Thanks

 

You have to know a little bit about engines to tackle something like that. First of all, if the bolts lined up and it would bolt to the Wolverine head and case, you would still have a bore to stroke ratio delima. The bore to stroke ratios would be different and the pistons for both the wolverine nor the big bear would work because the pistons would have incorrect deck height which would throw off the compression ratio and/or the stroke would be too long altogether letting the piston go on up and hit the top of the combustion chamber. However if you are building a custom race engine you are going to use a custom built piston either way so it would be achievable you would just have alot of money in it. My advice is that if you want more power, get ahold of Mickey Dunlap.
