Default ? on stock banshee silencers

hey all my step dad has a 03 banshee with the stock pipes and silencers. he use to have dg silencers on it but last night put the stock silencers on it and like took the end cap to the silencer off of it so its completely open at the end. is this bad for the motor or anything ?????

thanks in advance

The silencers don't make much of a difference on 2 strokes, so it shouldn't throw off his jetting enough to cause any trouble.

Well you kinda got it switched. A pipe on a 2 stroke will make a big difference, but the silencer doesn't affect much except the sound. Just the silencer can make a world of difference on a 4 stroke though.

Yeah,it shouldn't hurt it.Now if you take off the lid on the airbox then it's getting extra air and that will lean it out.Don't just take off the lid and run it that way.The lid actually holds the filter in.You can buy a kit to bolt the lid to the box without the lid,but you will have to rejet it.
