raptors suck dirt?? fact or fiction???
#1
a couple months ago when i started reading this forum, i heard a few raptor owners claiming that their engines were pulling dirt. supposedly the engine pulses were pulling dirt through a breather hose of some sort. in an effort to protect my investment, im looking to verify this problem through fellow raptor owners. some claimed an easy fix via use of an in line filter or open element type pre filter. but it seems the problem just sizzled out of forum disscussion as quick as its introduction. was this a real problem with some machines? and if so, is there a remedy? thanx for your input.

thanx for your replies,
I'll be fixing this little quirk
pront-o.
would this mod be considered more of a preventative measure or something that needs direct attention?
has anyone acctually found debris in their oil? i've got around 12 hrs. or so on my machine w/ no oil change yet, and its been in some deep crud.

You must fix it as soon as possable !!!
the air that comes out of the breather pipe is moist ( oil ) and the dust stick to the inside of the pipe. when i cleaned mine the dust were half-way down the pipe.
ps.. you need small hands to fit the pipe back on the gearbox casing ( my wife helped me )
