Default Drag racing, whats the big deal

I think if you were to go back through and read all the "Can this beat this" threads, those are all people who are not drag racers in any form of the word.

I sometimes wish my Banshee was a cruiser still, but if it was, I would still spend all day out dragging it, either out in Aledo or up at Whitefield

Warwgn maybe i can explain this in a manner you should be able to understand. For most of us we all at one time or another have raced cc,mx,enduro. For me it was C.C in my youth it was fun. But most of us are a little older and out of shape. Now we have found another outlet to express our need for speed , exitement and comradery. And that is as competetive as how you race. For u to say how we race is the same as how you race in our eyes. But we choose not to express ourselves that way about how you race.
We razz each other and call out some people that talk sh*t. But who does'nt.Me myself i ride two Raptors one to race and one to trailride and play. So for you to choose to talk about our sport you are degrading the atv sport as a whole and thats just as bad as how you think we act so look in the mirror and see what you have become by starting this thread.. Thank you and have a nice day.

Yeah me too...In my day i raced flattrack...And i still love it...Its just im older and have a kids and a wife to take care off...And you will see one day... when you get older you dont heal up as fast..LOL...So leave us old farts on the drag strip...and you go whoop them in the desert.
And your not to far from oklahoma and texas...So this old fart only has one thing to say....

I'm not a spring chicken myself at 34, and I can keep up with the young kids just fine.

I'll say once again I'm not knocking drag racing, it's not my thing but has a following just like everthing else. I am knocking all the cry babies that flock to that sport, if your not one of them then good for you, you actually have sportsmanship, it's the others that give you a bad rep. There is a differenca between good natured ribbing and flt out cry baby.

You are right there are some cry babys in all sports.Just seems that these are a little more vocal.
And i've got ten more years on ya and have let myself go due to a good wife.lol But overall these are some very good people and would share my camp and everything else i have to help them an they would do the same. So when you start a thread like that you are going to get someones hackles up and get some responces like you have.Just remember we don't do it to your sport don't do it to ours unless you've walked in our shoes.

This is the best post in here, good job.

I'm 22, and am in the MX and CC seen and really don't have a desire to drag. But I know one thing, riding competitively in 300ft sounds a lot better than NO riding. When my body can't handle MX and the like anymore, I could see getting into it. If for no other reason, just to get to hang out with and meet new people with simular interests.

Now what I don't understand is all the yeyhoo's on here with piped quads talking smack about drags. Then I will say who gives a hoot?

Well lets just shut down every drag race track across the nation! Shut down all sanctioning bodies down as well. Turn the drag race facilities into twisty woodsy harescramble-type tracks.....that would show all of those "drag racers". Warwgn is gonna have to convince a lotta people to convert though. .

P.S. Why did'nt you leave your engine stock so you could impress everyone even more so with your riding skills?
