It depends on the style of riding you like. This is a good machine for all around riding, trails, dunes, anything. If you want to be competitive, (i do not imply this will beat every quad out there, there is always someone faster) you need to go full exhaust upgrade, intake and fuel manager software. I had a hard time raising the front wheels on my stock raptor 700, now I have trouble keepingthem on the ground in the first 3 gears. I have just installed Curtis Sparks full exhaust, pro design k&N intake mod with a pro tec lid. This thing is flat out scary now. I am taking it to the dunes today, and my son who races will evaluate it comparing to his modded Honda 450R his quad is a tad over 50 hp, mine is well over that now. stock is 38-42 depending on how it was built at the factory. Sometimes you get a good one, sometimes not. You have nice looking raptor. Now go get it broke in.
