Break in oil?

Default Break in oil?

i just finished my top end rebuild on my warrior today.. and my GF went to get me oil while i was working i told her to get valvoline 10-40 and she came back with valvoline 20-50 .. will it hurt anything for the 1st hour or two of break in before 1st oil change to run the 20-50 ? or should i go back and get 10-40 for it ? thanks for any help

20-50 shouldnt hurt. Its not going to be in there that long and valvoline is excellent oil. Just make sure to get it nice and warm.

Default Break in oil?

It should be ok to run the thicker oil. Maybe better in breakin protect the parts better. Is the valvoline motorcycle or ATV oil (wet clutch compatible).
