First Impression: Wow!

The raptor has awesome power, great handling (although not as plush as Honda), light clutch action, and on and on and on...

I have 2 gripes though,
-How about some real skidplate protection?
-How about a grab bar that won't bend and break after a couple of wheelies go too far?

All in all, great quad.

Quadfather...I am sure the original poster appreciates the intelligent post. I work with a couple of guys that have Kodiaks. I'll get a list of the numerous problems which they have had, and start posting and bashing your quad every time you post. Come to think of it...I don't think I will...seems pretty childish.

Take a chill pill. Just asking a simple question. I've experienced some problems with my Kodiak as well. Yamaha seems to have put quality aside in hopes of more sales. I'm pretty disappointed with them at this point.

azlandscaper,
Glad to hear that you like your Raptor. I managed to go a full month without bending my rear grab bar and then I let a friend ride it! I'm not mad at him though, it just gave me an excuse to start buy acc. for it. The PRM grab bar is awesome and less money than the stock bar.I have a dessertbar from PRM and the first one saved me a lot of extra damage(I had a little accident).
Glad your happy, ride on.

Lovemaraptor,

Can you do me a favor? If it is possible, I would love to hear a wave file (sound file) of your GYT-R exhaust. It doesn't have to be complicated, at worst, maybe you could just use your mic on your computer and the sound recorder in windows accessories to record it. If it's not possible, don't sweat it. I'm just really excited about the new pipes and am having a hard time trying to decide.

Thanks!!
Scott
