Default Yamaha Warrior Carb Question

Hi everybody I'm new here and have a few questions. I just picked up an 89 Warrior and I am trying to straighten out the carb. There is a baffle in the float bowl that goes around the main jet. Does that just slip on over the jet or does it get bolted on under the jet. In other words does the order go:

Baffle, Washer, Jet

or

Washer, Jet, Baffle (If this is the way it goes what keeps the baffle ffrom falling off?)

I was also wondering what the float height should be set at?

Last, What is the stock jet size?

Thanks,

all depends on if the plastic tabs have broken off of it yet... and judging by yours's age... it has... you do need it in there so you can just spli it on over it if it doesn't have small plastic tabs in the center..

also.. the washer goes under the baffle.. and sits in the recessed area i do beleive( normal install) then the baffle wit hthe tabs then the main jet

if the tabs are broken just install the main jet.. then (while carb is upside down) put the baffle over it and put the cover on.. done :-D
i'm not sure on float height... i can look into it for ya???

and stock main jet is 145

Default Yamaha Warrior Carb Question

If you could look into the float height that would be great. The previous owner had things really messed up that I am amazed that it would idle. The accelerator pump was stuck with no spring under it, and the two vent tubes at the top were hooked together with one short tube not allowing the bowl to vent at all. I suppose that I should check the needle location. Is that set at the middle clip? (assuming that it has needle positions like my blaster) Once I get this thing running decent then I am going to start modifying it. But it needs to run decent first.

How can you tell if the rear shock blown and if so how do you rebuild one?

Thanks again.
