I have the banshee in the sig file.. and I'm shredding clutches like a ****.. I am using all 6 after market springs, still on the factory basket. I have used Toomey and Barret clutches, and I shred them in a couple rides at best. I double clutch some to get the rpms up on.. but not that much..

Any ideas?? do the after market baskets really help?

TIA
Brad

We used a clutch and basket that was developed for the turbos bikes we ran at pikes peak. They have been tested at over 120 hp and they fit in the stock side cover with minimal mods. For more info contact Power Playground.

My banshee wasn't anywhere near as nasty as yours must be but mine, and most of and most of my friend's baskets went long before the clutch pack was smoked. Check to see if your basket is notched up were the tabs on the clutch plates fit. Also the rubber bushings on the rivits holding the basket to the drive gear wear out quickly. I put a Hinson basket and Barnett kevlar (green colored) clutch plates w/ heavier springs in my Banshee and beat it for a year untill I sold it. One year later the kid I sold it to is still hammering on the same clutch. Hope this helps.
