Default Grizz 700 Dipstick

I just picked mine up today, I looked at the dipstick and I was completely blown away at the engineering of it. It is just a push in pull out dipstick not threaded in or anything. I mean did they think it wasn't going to see mud or water? Theres gotta be away to make it so You just can't pop it out. The Grizz is one sweet machine I have to say! The FI and Power Steering the damn thing is a dream!

Default Grizz 700 Dipstick

The new Grizzly dip stick will not just pop out or leak in water/mud. Just try it for awhile. My personal preference is for a totally sealed site glass motor oil level indicator. But the new Yamaha system works fine even though at first it seems wierd. IMO the most common problem with dip sticks is when riders forget to install them or the Honda thread style when riders screw them all the way in when checking oil and then overfill or when motor is dirty and riders don't wipe off cases before removing dip stick allowind dirt to enter.
You do have serious things to worry about however and that is the air filter oiling and body panel /skid plate fasteners.
