by far the easiest/cheapest way is a sprocket as long as u dont mind losing some top end.

i agree. the cheapest way would be a sprocket. i read an article in a magazine about this. you will lose some top end though, so i'd keep that in mind too.

The terms bottom end or top end are often incorrectly used for speed when these terms should be used for motor performance at one end or other of power band. For more bottom end (more low RPM performance) you can increase displacement by a bore or stroke or increase compression. Nearly all other aftermarket options such as exhaust, intake, cam, etc. mods will usually sacrifice some bottom end for some top end. So the best low end thru mid range performance is usually with a quiet stock ride. Some very lean stock motors can be helped throughout the powerband by minor breathing mods and proper rejetting. Gearing changes have no effect on location of power in RPM range. It only changes ratio of RPM to speed.

Get the Cam Mod done, no parts involved just labor and you might have to rejet carb ( i guess that would take parts ) . Will wake up the bottom end and the mid range. Pipe and air intake will help it to.

to be honest my experience with a friend that put a lower tooth sprocket on his YFZ he couldnt spin the wheels fast enough, he couldnt get the power to the ground, so instead he went with with some cams and that gave him what he was looking for. if u got some 22" tires then the lower sprocket would be great but not with 20'

My 2 cents

Ive also read a few articles that say a aftermarket pipe can open up the bottom end also, but ive also heard guys say you should also rejet as well. Can you install a new pipe without rejetting?
