Default Wolverine/Warrior Carb question

Seems I dropped the ball on verifying if it was a one-way valve or not.... If you went to the dealer and got one, was it?

I forgot to mention...I picked up 4' of fuel line to use just incase my parts don't come in. Why that long? So I can route to to a cleaner, dryer location...maybe the battery box.

Default Wolverine/Warrior Carb question

Running the bowl vent/overflow into the battery box? Bad idea. First, it's gravity fed, so if the line doesn't run to a point lower than the carb, that excess fuel that sloshes out won't have anywhere to go, and it'll start running like crap and maybe even shut off completely. Also, I don't think I'd want raw fuel dumping into the battery box even if the fuel would flow uphill through that line. Fuel + small enclosed space + potential for sparks = potential to blow your seat off and end up running through the woods with your pants on fire

The overflow/bowl vent line on my carb just runs down the back of the engine and dumps in front of the swingarm, and doesn't have any kind of check valve on it, just open hose. I've ran my warrior through some pretty deep mud and water (see pics for proof) and nothing made it up that fuel line, the bowl on the carb was spotless the last time I had it apart.

Thanks! That post was really really helpful. I guess not having any hose on the bowl is what caused the stuff to get sucked in. Like I said, I don't do any big mud bogging, but semi deep crossings do take place.

So your tube just runs down the frame and near where the swingarm mounts? So I'm assuming that tube is about 18" long?

18 inches would be a good estimate. It just runs from the carb, straight down the back of the engine, and a couple inches past the swingarm pivot (which the hose is loosely zip tied to, to keep in place)

That sounds like the exact same set up on my old three wheeler. Thanks! I hope the parts I just bought at the dealer weren't a complete waste of $.

Got the parts installed and went riding Monday. It was really wet and I did some water crossings. No problems with the carb so far! I haven't taken the bowl off, but I assume all is well. The machine ran great all day.
