I have a broken ignition switch that mounts to the side fender of an 87 moto4. There are 4 wires leading to it. The switch on the handle bar still works. I want to just put a toggle switch on the fender. How do I wire it? There seems to be 4 posistions of the switch, what are they?

 

We here on the site don't like putting this kind of information out in the open, because the last thing we want to do is make it easier for little punks to steal quads, which has been happening all too often lately. I'm not saying that you are one of these people, but anybody with a computer can view this information, so don't take offense to this. The best I can offer is that a brand new key switch and 2 keys from most yamaha dealers is only 50 bucks, or you can probably scoop one up for half that on ebay.
