Warrior w/ no spark to the coil? FIXED THE PROBLEM
#1
I know this has been posted by other members with the same problem but I couldnt find a good answer. I purchased a 96 warrior non-running thinking I could fix it. I have no spark getting to the coil, I replaced the battery and swapped CDI boxes with a another guys 96 warrior and still no spark. I have read maybe it could be a stator. I'm not that good with a meter and I'm not sure how to test it, but I did find wires coming from the stator and put a test light to them and it showed I was getting pulsing sparks when the engine turned over. It appears the stator has been replaced, I didnt pull the cover but the wires are pliced. Any help with doing another test?? how to do the test?? How hard is it to get to the pulse pickup on this model?
The clutch switch and headlights are missing off the atv, would this have something to do with no spark? also the starter switch button, the sliding kill switch, is it suppose to show hot on one side when the switch is on? I couldnt get a reading with my test light, I was wondering if the engine would still turn over if something was wrong with the kill switch? any help with a diagnosis will be appreciated. I know I have lots of questions, I'm trying to throw all of them out there to you. Thanks

The Stator was the problem! Called RM Stator and they sent me out one and boom, I had spark!! Let me ask what might be a silly question, is the case that the stator and pickup is in suppose to house oil? my case and stator was soaked in it? thanks
