A blaster with a exhaust, reeds and mild porting will give a big performance gain. This is for less than $1000. To make the suspension better get some banshee shocks on the front, and 250r, 400ex, or z400 shock on rear. Rear brakes, I have no problem with the rear brakes on my Pre 03 Blaster, they lock up easily. I added a Motion pro parking brake eliminator, Vesrah grooved Kevlar Brake pads, and used synthetic brake grease on the brake cylinder, for like $70. You have to rebuild the topend occasionly on two strokes, but if you do it when your supposed to all you have to do is replace the rings . If all you have to do is replace the rings it takes about the same it takes to adjust the valves on a four stroke.
