I am looking at getting some shock covers..... which ones seem to wear off the paint so bad ?? Is it the nylon or cotton or ?? Where is the cheapest place to get some nice flamed ones?

 

Well, the ones that are stretchy are the ones that don't mess up the paint, but I don't think they're either cotton nor nylon. I had some tough nylon covers on my stock shocks (the ones that come free with Quad Magazine) and they had the paint worn off at a couple spots within a few hours of riding.
