Hi, my first post here. Recently purchased a used Kodiak 400. Its been in the garage for a few weeks and now it will not start. I hear a single click each time I pust the starter button. I have charged the battery and still get the same result. I tried jump-starting it but still no start. I was able to bypass the battery and jump start it stright to the starter. And I can use the pull card to manually star it, but good gosh thats waaaayy too hard!

Is the problem a with the starter relay, bad battery or what? Leaving to go on a hunting trip tomorrow and really need to get this problem fixed today!!

Either the cables to the battery terminals are corrorded or the battery is dieing. Have a load test done on the battery, and that will verify if its good or bad.

 

Thanks! Had the battery tested and it was bad. Got a new one and charging it right now. Hopefully it will work when fully charged in the morning.

 

thats not all not sure on the kodiak but mby a fuse.... or a starter selinoid.... i would look into those p.s. the battery is fine if it wont start even when being jumped straight to battery... i owuld take of terminals hook to jump cables and try that... if that not work then ether fuse or selinoid
