Default Raptor 700r HELP!!

The manual is off, I put exactly 2 US quarts of oil in my 700R and that puts it right on the full mark.

You fire it up let it run for a couple min giving it some throttle then pull the dipstick out of the top of the oil tank and see what the level is.

Yor profile says your from Mississippi do you know how to convert qts to liters? I believe 2 US qts are 1.89 liters so I guess after doing the math the manual is pretty darn close.

Default Raptor 700r HELP!!

Does the Raptor 700 have the external oil reservoir? If so, did you take that into account when you added the new oil? On other models, you need to put some oil in the crankcase, and some in the reservoir. The manual should tell you how much goes where.

Default Raptor 700r HELP!!

The 700R has a dry sump oil system with an external oil tank. You can do it either way as long as you put the 2 gts or 1.89 litre in. The manual does not say to but I also pull the oil fill plug and right side case by the clutch actuator and put 1 qt in the crank case and I put the other qt in the oil tank just because I don't like to put a qt and a half in the oil tank fire it up and then shut it down and pour the other half qt in.

nicolas1989, I don't know what to tell you, I have not had this problem, when I put 1.89 liters which is 2.0 US quarts in my oil level is right at the full mark on the dipstick after I have run it and let it sit for a while and check it.
Be careful not to over fill, as long as you are on the dipstick between full and add you are in the safe operating range. Let it sit overnight and re check it and see what it says. sorry, that's all I got

Default Raptor 700r HELP!!

According to the yamaha service manual the 700r holds 2.3L if you overhaul it. If you change the oil and filter it should take 1.85 L of oil, 1.30L goes in the oil tank and.55L goes in the crankcase. These are specs from the yamaha service manual. When checking the oil level, run for 2 minutes then shut off for two minutes until oil settles before checking. Do not screw in the dipstick in when checking oil level.
