As stated above it is best to just buy new plastic. You can get it pretty reasonable on ebay. If you still want to paint it, I have heard of guys using paint called Fusion. I guess it is specifically for plastic but I have never tried it.

Paint will work fine on fenders if you are not lazy and take the right steps to prep it. Sanding it so primer will stick is key... and using a good paint that wont crack is also key. Here is a link to a pic of my Banshee that my bro and I painted. It wont crack at all. Ive flexed all the pieces and they are fine. If you dont want a basic blah set, paint them how you want them, its a fun project, and then nobody has one like you either. Heres the pics...

Prep work is key. There is a plastic specific prep/degreaser and an adhesion promoter. Go to your local auto body paint and supply dealer, they will lead you in the right direction. i painted the plastic on my Warrior using an Acrylic Enamel. It was a cheap paint, easy to spray and touch up down the road. It has help up well for nearly 2 years now.
