ideas on 660 rear shock on warrior

Default ideas on 660 rear shock on warrior

i just got a 2001 raptor 660 rear shock and am getting a set of banshee fronts for my warrior i have new bushings for the a arms and a rebuild kit for the rear swingarm (pivot works). i wanted some ideas/input/suggestions on anything i should consider while it is apart.

the grease fitting for the swingarm bearings is definitely a good idea, i wish I did that when mine were apart last. The only other thing I can suggest is to soften up the preload on the shock before you put the plastics and airbox back together. The preload will probably work best somewhere between the halfway point and the softest setting. If it's too stiff, your rear ride height is going to make it feel awkward to ride, and will have a tendency to bounce over everything. And it sucks to put something together just to take it apart again and adjust, so i'm just giving you the heads-up now and maybe it'll save you some trouble.
