ATVs or Dirtbikes

This isn't a bike forum, so I don't want to take up too much space, but how can you qualify the difference between the 00 426 and the 01 426 as ALOT.
The new one has a better carb, titanium valves, better placed head pipe, a little lighter swingarm, and a better front brake. It doesn't have a new frame, motor, suspension, silencer, transmission, or rear brake.
I am glad they improve their YZ models each year, so don't get me wrong, I just have a question about what it takes to mean that ALOT is improved. Perhaps from a quad rider's perspective, an update to the titanium valves means alot. All the reviews say it revs a little bit quicker. They don't say 'the power is way more explosive from last years model'.
Would the reviewers choose the 01 over the 00? I think the answer would be yes. In fact, as long as it wasn't a Suzuki, I think you would choose the newer machine over the old machine. (prices being equall).
Just defending my model year I guess 'cause I will be riding it this year. The machines are so close, that it will really be the rider which makes the difference. Cripes, look at Pastrana on the RM's. That kid is good to get that machine around the track. (Friendly shot at all the RM250 owners...)
You still can't beat the explosive power from a dirt bike, but the quad still makes riding challenging. (It's easy to jump a bike, you only have one line to watch at the jump. With the quad you have to have two.)
