Got a new Grizz 700
#1
Hey guys. Well, I'm a predator(sport quad) guy.....but we always have a utility quad on the farm. Dad traded the sportsman 700 off on a new grizz 700. This will be our first yamaha in a while. Anything we should be aware of, or anything that we need to keep in mind? Any maintaince issues?
Thanks,
Brad

Ditto on Hebs post, but remember to removed the 5w30 oil once warmer weather comes. Replace
with 10W30 or 40 for summer. If you don't use 5W30 oil during the cold season, your oil wont
pick up and the Griz won't start. With the 5w30 oil you will start good all winter. Mine started fine
in 15 below. Other than that simple problem your golden.

Hey guys, we got back from a dune trip......and rode it down there too(well, my dad did). It walked(and I mean walked).....all over the other sportsman 700 and 800's. We got some new tires and rims, to widen it out a bit......it helped a lot!!!! I love this quad, lots of power!
It this the same engine as in the rappy 700? If so, are there performance upgrades available for the grizz(like engine, exhaust, intake?)??

Yes... it's the same engine... It has numerous aftermarket accessories... exhaust... clutch kits... cams... etc... Just remember, the perfomance of the engine has different requirements for a ute quad that you intend to go mudding with... and a sport quad you intend to go fast with...
