i recently got a 86yfm 225 from my brother it was turned upside down in the bed of his truck for about 2 weeks i got it running after buying a few things but it smokes from the tailpipe and from the vent on top of the motor my father in law said it might be burning the oil from the motor can i get a little feedback or opinions please

 

I know thats a common isue if you flip a atv over...the upper end of the motor gets way too muchoil, and it finds it way where it shouldnt be. Keep an eye on the oil level, and make sure it doesnt get too low. Run it for awhile, and the smoking should gradually disappear.

Your whole airbox might be soaked with oil also.

 

i went through it and cleaned everthing i could pull off and think of cleaning and degreased the entire 4 wheeler thanks for the info
