The next thing that I would do is bore it out as far as you can, then get a high compression piston.

I would get a cam first. I would go with a Webcam or something else, not a Hotcam. I have always been told you cant shave the head on a Warrior. Then I would go with a JE 10.5:1 compression piston, like the 366 kit for $175. In my opinion, you need to leave the Wiseco pistons to the 2 stroke guys. I had the 366 kit, cam, pipe, filter, and a 14 tooth front sprocket installed in another Warrior I used to have and my top speed went from 55 mph to 65 mph.

I have a 1988 warrior that I owned for 15 years and did a lot of mods. and last week the crank went, so I just bought a used stock 05 raptor 350 and its a great runing atv, if you want to drag race and beat 400 and 450 save your money and sell the warrior and buy the 450. the beast you going to do with a warrior is tie with the 400s and you going to need air box mods, stage 1 cam, 10.25-1 piston, port the head, and jet the carb. If the warrior has a good crank and good compression leave it a loan, just do air box mods, carb mod. and port cylinder, once you get above 10-1 compression you need a oil cooler and after 10.5-1 you need racing gas. the warrior needs work on the front end, theres a kit on ebay to widen the front +2" and you can use the 400ex shocks that works great, turn your rear rims around and youl get +2" wider on the rear, I made spacers to raise the bars 2" higher works great, I moved the foot pegs back 2.5" and lower 1" , I filled the bars with heavy caulk stop vibration,
