Default YFZ Clutch Setup

Sup guys,I just bought a 05 YFZ 450 last saturday and I think it needs a clutch.Everytime I get on it hard it wants to slip so I have to let off of it a little bit.So what kind of clutch setups are you all running in ur alls YFZ's.Any insight on this will be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone

The factory clutch is actually a very durable clutch... (a lot will say more durable than aftermarket)

If you're looking for a lighter clutch setup for performance reasons... then that's different...

First I would check to see the cable is adjusted properly. I agree, the stock clutch seems pretty durable, but that '05 could be 2 1/2 years old. It is conceivable it is time to replace it. Again, nothing wrong with the stock parts going back in. I have also had good luck with Barnett clutches on other motors(still stock on my '05 YFZ though.) If you don't mind spending the $$ then a Hinson clutch basket would be a nice addition. More so if the stocker is shot, which it shouldn't be.
