From what I was told via dealerships ect, top end in speed is limited to around 75mph max from the manufacture, this is done to avoid lawsuits as people will most definatly kill themselves with utter stupidity. I'm sure there is a federal regulation that governs top allowable speeds of ATV's from the manufacture, but have yet to find this. Next time I am at a dealer I will ask if they know where I can find this specific information.

Either way, to avoid lawsuits like those that ruined a lot of the ATV industry in 1988, there must be some regulation somewhere that regulates maximum horsepower and top speed of a factory machine. Anyone have some light to shed on this?
