I installed the new carb tops and drilled for the screws to adjust the idle speed on my 98 banshee. The idle screws seem to have no affect on the idle speed. It runs great and idles, it is just a little low (idle speed) Could I have the slides reversed? Is that why the screws wont hold the slides up?? Would it even run if I had the slides reversed? If any of you Banshee guys have installed one of these kits could you please let me know if your idle screws work. THANKS ALOT

I have installed all this stuff, except that I built myself the idle kit...so I don't know how sensitive the real is.
Mine has been "easy" to set. When I put the bolts, I screwed them right to the point where they touch the slides (you can hear and see it looking through the airbox). From there, I heated the engine, and highered the idle (screwed the bolts)it until it's a safe idle.
Be sure to do it on both sides at a time. Higher yor idle by turning clockwise 1/4 turn each time, once it's good, you can get even more precise if you want.
You can't put your slides the wrong way.

definetly tune both the carbs at the same time if you can, once one cylinder gets firing faster then the other it stresses out your engine, thats probally why you diddnt notice a diffrence cuz unless you tuned them both at the same time it will run at the speed of the faster cylinder or the one getting more gas... if that makes any sense... ???
