Default 01 Grizzly Not Starting

I have an '01 Grizzly. Last week rode the ATV with no problems. Went to start again and starter not spinning. Lights come on, sometimes hear the relay click. Checked voltage across relay. Battery side 12V, start switch 12V - press start goes to 0V, no voltage across the relay. Bought new relay, installed battery side and control wires, tested and had 12V on starter side. Everything looks good now. Connect starter cable and no start. Checked starter side voltage and there was no 12V when switch pressed. Think I fried the relay, only $50. Voltage on relay control with key off stays at 4V, when key is "ON" voltage is at 12V. Is this normal? I would think that the switch input would be at 0V when key is "OFF". I am going to check the starter by itself to make sure it is spinning. Any ideas about the switch voltage at 4V. Service manual on the way, hope it helps. Thanks

Ya check the starter, put 12 volts to it directly, see if it spins. I'm no expert on electrical componets but the 4 volts through the switch shouldn't mean anything only because the starter will only work if you have 12V+. You know 12V on a battery doesnt mean it's good, I would take it somewhere and get it "load tested", sounds like the battery could be dead and have no more power when there is a load on it. Also I would check all connections make sure they are clean and check fuses.
