banshee throttle and tires

Default banshee throttle and tires

when i ride my quad at silver lake the throttle always gets sticky and then eventually 1 slide sticks and the slides are a little scratched up if i get new slides will that fix my proplem i dont think it would because it only happens at silver lake.....i got holeshot tires and if i dont keep alot of air in them they leak out of the bead whats the right air pressure for them??/

Your carbs just might need a little cleaning. Take out your air filter and spray carb cleaner into the backs of your carbs while working the throttle and see if that loosens anything up or not. Your slides are going to have some scratched looking places on them but that's just from using them. As for your tires, I'd say anywhere from 3-5 maybe 6 lbs.

i used to have 5 in them but air leaks out of the bead inless i keep at least 8 or 10

i cleaned the carbs the night b4 we went there and about 2 or 3 hours in to riding it starts to stick

for the tire issue try lookin on the side of the tire for and for 2 you should have bought maxxis razr's never had a problem with those and i don't knwo much about the slides and your throttle but good luck

i would: 1. lube the throttle cable
2. check the housing where the throttle cable hooks up to the carb, i had one with a bad seal once and the metal components started to corrode causing some sticking. a little WD-40 did the trick.

if that was the case wouldnt that happen all the time not just at the dunes......ill try it tho........and those tires were 40 bucks for both from a teacher i guess thats why they were cheap

maybe theres sand getting in there, causing it to stick (as it only happens at the dunes). it can be only a few things, the thumb throttle housing, the throttle cable itself, the cable housing on the carb, or the carb slide. just start at one and eliminate possibilities until you figure it out. should be a fairly cheap/ simple fix.

ya iv pretty much got it narrowd down to the cable and the slides
